She's got the looks. She's got the talent. She's got the pipes.
First a little background to start...
Allow me to introduce you to a sweet little southern belle who goes by the name of Elaina Kay. Elaina Kay is originally from Wichita Falls, TX and has been performing since the age of ten. This would only be a few years before I went to school with her and solidified my spot as a future fan.
When she isn't performing or writing or just flat looking pretty, Miss Kay works as a nursing student at Stephenville's Tarleton State University. Here Elaina's strings and soothing voice started attracting ears from all over Texas as soon as Stephenville had her open up the guitar case. However nothing gathers more inspiration for her work than being home. Her favorite place to be is home on her family's ranch in Wichita Falls where her family breed and train cutting horses; earning her first album the name Fools & Horses . She grew up singing for Treble Makers Vocal Studio and Talent management out of Wichita Falls which will show how her country roots are as true as the north star, so her music gains a lot of it's direction and vision from her time here in Texas. Her love for animals and passionate writing make for a truly rustic and homey feel, the kind of feeling you get when you travel home for a fresh cooked meal sitting at your fingertips.
Most recently I had the privilege of watching her perform live at Ironhorse Pub in Wichita Falls where her striking talent came to life and kept the crowd listening in between every sip. But don't listen to me type on and on here, check out the music and make sure to purchase her new CD!
Oh and just a little warning for those boys trying to buy Miss Kay a drink, her rendition of Miranda Lambert's Gunpowder & Lead was extremely convincing...
