Who Can Make the World Stop?

GoPro Hero 2 Release
< - - - - - \  / - - - - - >
So I figured you guys have seen all the rant and rave with GoPro pairing up with Red Bull and with or without wings, the people in this video fly to new human limits. These guys are constantly searching around the world high and low to test human possibilities and satisfy our thirst for curiosity. Here I have for you the newest video which is a compilation of videos they have taken paired with a wonderful, yet appropriate choon from le Glitch Mob. I'm not sure about you but I'm really close to buying one of these things... once the prices go down that is.

You've definitely seen this last one on TV a lot lately, and in the video above. The new hymnal guiding these sand dogs on their journey comes from Savoy, so I felt to not mention it would be like... well, burying your head in the sand. Sand gets everywhere. Don't do it.

He hasn't released anything other than the preview however I'm not worried because you guys will know where to get it. Wink face.

In Case You Forgot

On my way back to A-Town this past weekend I embarked on a 45 minute-long journey hosted by none other than the Sultan of Bass, Bassnectar himself. If you haven't traveled over to his website and downloaded his long mixtapes I think you have seriously been left out, considering they are in my opinion his strengths when it comes to jams. Here I have given you a sneak peak of the treasures during this tape.. ones which I have considered slipped away never to be heard by most...

Up first is yet another rendition of Kid's Day & Night. This song has definitely been remixed numerous times however this one (even as late as this weekend) stands tallest. He uses some help from JOTS and Crowdrock.

I can't stop playing this song over and over, how it has not made it on his albums still leaves me pondering. Plus not to mention it contains one of the sickest rap drops he has to date: "I'm the glitch modulator, sip on the data . Verb conjugator plus an herb inhalator. Feed other haters, opposite of Krypton . Give me more power and I'm bound to get my sip on ."

This next one kind of repeats itself on a loop. But then again, if he were to do anything else with such a destructive bassline I would be upset.

Just in case this isn't enough, and you want the whole pie and not just a piece, here you go.

Free Tutoring Lessons

Please, limit one voucher per student.
Today what I have for you comes from the mind of SchoolBoy. A new and upcoming artist fresh from class who hails from Los Angeles and is making big noise in the music scene. Here I have two remixes and a few tunes of his which I consider to be the most filthy and beautiful sounds to cross my ears. Enjoy.

Up first we have his remix of Jay - Z and Kayne West's Why I Love You So. While the cuts don't have any defining characteristics the beat is the best I have heard thus far when it comes to remixing this popular choon. Have a listen for yourself.

Daft Punk most definitely played at his house. Because lastly, I have a rendition of Daft Punk. We all know that Daft Punk is one of the greatest electro duos to date and their work speaks for itself. As a corollary, you should expect this remix to do nothing less.

Now for some additional SchoolBoy tunes just in case you aren't addicted thus yet.

TERRORible TuesDAZE pt. 2

This past weekend I visited LA and was fortunate enough to squeeze in a plethora of west coast tunes through security. Along with many others, most notable to be blowing up the scene there is Dillon Francis. He's back and blowing up the charts as you may have heard with a new EP titled Something, Something, Awesome . You're going to be wondering where in the hell he gets these sounds from. Be sure to mark this guy down, because I promise you that he's on the rise.

The cuts you hear on Something, Something, Awesome  blend everything from dubstep to Moombahton, but don't worry, you don't need to be intimately familiar with the definition of Moombahton in order to enjoy Francis's explosive, party-starting, bass-busting sounds.

Also be sure to keep an eye on Bassnectar the next upcoming weeks. He's set to release a new album called Vava Voom  on April 10th. Here's a little sneak-peak to the upcoming and continuing greatness.

TERRORible TuesDAZE

I dropped  the ball so you can drop  ya jaw.
Sorry for the lack of updating. I was involved in a nasty car wreck last week that has taken most of my time and money. All I can say is that no one was hurt and the only thing that may have saved me is this next collection of choons that was blaring during my adrenaline rage. It's in light of this that I am introducing a new segment for your enjoyment.

Guy Hymn's first edition of TERRORible TuesDAZE is here, and things are not looking better.
I'm not sure how to put this next one lightly... so... get some.

I took these next two from ThisSongIsSick in honor of them promoting Snowball Music Festival 2012. Two notables are going to be Minnesota and GriZ, who as you know, I can't speak enough about on here.

Up next I have some tracks I stole from the new game SSX which I would highly recommend buying. The soundtrack is fabulous, featuring two songs from my boy Pretty Lights. You get to listen to it while you shred fresh powder... I mean, c'mon.

Slowing it down for this last one, however these guys just put out potential on multiple levels. Always great.

Thirsty Thursdays vol. 2

Thirsty Thursday's are back. Let me warn you that there has been a severe drought of flowing rhythm on this site, and I'm prepared to make up for lost time. This Thursday I'm giving you a complete genre-rich mix which is sure to set every mood off just right. Enjoy, and for the love of music, drink up.

First at bat is Skrillex, who is fresh off his recent three Grammy wins. Despite the mainstream selling-out this guy is nearing with me, his dynamic sounds continue to show why he wins. Por ejemplo:

Next is a beautiful chilled beat. Lancelot paired with the help of Goldroom ensures that you can always be happier.

Really slowing it down for the next one. You might have heard this in the new movie 50/50. While I was not sure how I felt about the film I felt this next song was very fitting for self-reflection moments.

I heard this last one on XM radio the other day. Absolutely Unfathomably sick, chilled interpretation of Deadmau5's I  Remember .

1500 Views

1500 Listens! Thanks again guys I can't thank you enough for following my interests and I'm happy they in some form or fashion parallel your own. A lot has happened over the past few years to celebrate the dynamic and exploitative nature and potential that music holds. It's because of listeners like you that these artists choose to step over each line, and push each possibility to stretch it's full potential. Here's to the next 1500, but more importantly, to the music. Thanks.
