Not the best line-up ACL has had, but there were many bands who produced and exceeded expectations. First off, Big Boi killed it on Friday, and I managed to get a video (forgive the sound, too many people were yelling).
After Foster the People, the music genius followed: Pretty Lights.
To say that Pretty Lights owned the festival is an understatement.
Skrillex had a great set, however I was hoping he would include more remixes and new material rather than going through the motions, even though the tribal dancing child was an awesome touch.
Saturday the only surprise was Chromeo, who this post is mostly made for.
A effective collaboration of technology and funk, these guys are trying to make the parties bounce and bring back the reinvigorated version of a music style our parents used to live for. The first video is what the opened their set with (believe me, it was an extremely powerful opening in grabbing the hundreds of people unsure where their next destination would be).
Then they dropped the bomb with Soooo Gangstaaa.
